Not only are they durable, lightweight, and easy to install; but they also come in a wide variety of styles and colors so that you can achieve almost any look for your home or commercial building without losing any curb appeal.

Your new metal roof may be the last roof you ever install because it has a very long lifespan. Metal roofing requires little maintenance, making it the perfect “install it and forget it” type of roofing out there!

What’s the Advantage of a Metal Roof?

Metal Roofs are Energy Efficient

Metal roofing reflects much of the sun’s heat and energy. While conventional shingles absorb much of the sun’s heat, metal roofing reduces cooling energy costs by as much as 20%. The coating used on modern metal roof panels incorporates special pigments that reflect the sun’s energy and release heat that is absorbed throughout the day.

Metal Roofs are Not Noisy

If you have ever been in a metal-clad pole barn, garage, or even a picnic shelter in the rain, you will remember that loud pinging noise as the rain hits the metal roof. In a residential home, layers of building materials like the roof deck, insulation, and drywall between the metal roof and the living area reduce the sound of rain. In fact, the rain noise from a metal roof is similar to that of conventional shingles.

Metal Roofs are Hail-Resistant

Studies conducted by the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) have found that metal roofing is far less likely to be punctured by hail than conventional asphalt shingles. That is definitely a benefit.

Types of Metal Roofs We Install

Aluminum Roofing

Aluminum is an excellent material for metal roofs. It’s lightweight yet durable and quite malleable, meaning it can be shaped to fit whatever design you want. You can create tile, shingles, or other custom designs from aluminum roofing. Because of its reflective properties, an aluminum roof is a great choice for the energy-conscious.

Copper Roofing

Homeowners love how sustainable metal roofing is, and that goes for copper roofs, too. The advantages of copper roofs are that they are beautiful, strong, and have high thermal conductivity. It will keep your home warm in the winter and cool in the summer. You will love the energy savings a copper roof provides!

Steel Roofing

Steel is energy-efficient, recyclable, lightweight, durable, and fire-resistant. It’s easy to install, which contributes to its affordability. It is also highly customizable, allowing you to make it look like many other roofing types. You can find steel roofing in a variety of thicknesses to suit your roof’s individual needs.

Corrugated Metal Roofing

Corrugated metal is galvanized steel that has been rolled into a pattern. The two most popular styles of corrugated metal are the U-panel and the R-panel. Although patterns can vary, corrugated metal is stacked like tile. The corrugation runs perpendicular to the grooves in the steel. This process enhances the strength inherent in galvanized steel.

Standing-Seam Metal Roofing

Standing seam metal roofing comes in a variety of seam types: snap-lock, mechanical lock, and batten panel. Each one interlocks differently, and they provide different protection. Depending on your climate, you can choose a specific seam type to protect your building. The standing seam is an aesthetic feature that makes standing seam metal roofs appealing while also protecting their fasteners.

6/30/23 In June 2023, I contracted with Mile High Roofing and I dealt with Scott – the manager and owner. He reroofed my 2500 sq. ft. ranch home in Parker, CO that was hailed out in May 2023. I am uncertain how we found each other but … More I am sure glad we did. I am 81 years old and over the past 30 years I have had to replace six hailed-out roofs on three different homes. Two while living in Centennial, CO, three in Highlands Ranch and now one in Parker. I must say that working with Scott has been a wonderful and surprising experience – this was not the case with my five previous roofers. What makes Scot so great to work with – he is extremely professional, very personable and man of his word. During the reroofing process, Scot kept me informed (either by phone or TXT messaging) every step of the way. At all times he informed me of exactly what was to be done and precisely when and how. In all cases he met each and every schedule – on time and the constructions work was well done. What as pleasure and I am well pleased. My experience with previous roofers was often confusing, challenging and the quality was often less than satisfactory. I thank you Scot for making my Parker roof restoration experience as good as it could be and you deserve a five-star rating.
